FAMILY SUPPORT CONTACT

In addition, we have Linda O’Connell Family Support Worker. Linda is a past parent of St. John’s Ward whose child is healthy and well. Linda has been with us for over 13 years and in her own words she says,

“I bring a unique perspective of the lived experience which enables me to understand that feeling of loss experienced by parents. I am committed to using my experience, skills, and qualifications to benefit other parents and families. I understand the need for the provision of care from the day of diagnosis, during treatment, end of life care and for several years after treatment or following the death of a child”.

Linda has an excellent working relationship with the multidisciplinary team at St. John’s Ward and has daily contact in relation to the needs of families.

Should you or a family member find themselves on the childhood cancer journey and would like to enquire about our services or have a listening ear Linda can be contacted at anytime on 086 6644522 or linda@aoibheannspinktie.ie or info@aoibheannspinktie.ie
